Auto Login Script for Linux

Postby Menion Leah on Sun Sep 29, 2013 8:05 am

Hello everyone. I'm hoping that you're enjoying the latest round of LORD.

I wrote an automatic login script to save me having to remember my auto-generated LORD password. It doesn't help you play the game, it just logs you in.

I recommend you do this on your own Linux box since your password will be in the piece of the code

Here is the code. I called the file ' lord ' and I created it in VI on an Ubuntu box

#!/usr/bin/expect -f
spawn telnet
expect -re "user"
send "USERNAME\n"
expect -re "Password:"
send "PASSWORD\n"
expect -re "warrior?"
send "c"

Substitute USERNAME and PASSWORD with your own information remembering to include any UPPERCASE letters.

Once the file is saved, you need to change it to an executable by typing

chmod u+x lord

after that, to log in to LORD you just type

You are welcome. I am assuming that this is ok since it's just a login script and not a bot to play the game for you.

Thank you so much Mystical One for running this great game for us all of these many years later. :)!
